Message from Rome before leaving toward the Argentina November 17 1972 I want that my first words are to make present my deep gratitude to Italy, model of modern democracy; to their government, as well as to their institutions that I have seen act with so much effectiveness in these days that I have remained in Rome; to their customs officers, their guards of finances and to the police of security. Also desire that my gratefulness arrives to I FRAYED her like to the Italian journalism, to which I have seen reflect in its pages with an admirable objectivity all the activities that he/she has played me to carry out in Italy. With reference to my country, desire very simply to make present the object of my trip. In the first place it is to contact me with the Argentinean town, to the one that so many years ago have not been able to but contemplating at a long distance. To also make it with the bosses of the representative political forces of the Argentinean town and also with their armed forces. The objective of my trip, I eat I have already made present in other opportunities, it is to take a word of peace, so indispensable in these moments for the Argentinean Nation that has not still healed well the wounds of a fight that it has produced so much wrong to my country. It is so I request to the Argentinean town, without distinction of shades, neither political categories that he/she knows how to interpret my trip like a company of peace and of pacification that makes possible to the shortest term the institucionalización that the country has lost for already 18 years. In that concept it is that I request to all the popular forces that must attend my arrival to Buenos Aires that proceed with the biggest wisdom, in order to not to alter the order conditions in that it must unwrap all act that surrounds to this event. Also, I take the Argentinean government's words that he/she has not only invited me to return to the country, but rather - time recently I have read it here in the newspapers of Italy - he/she wants to establish a dialogue with me, for that which I don't have neither necessity to request audience, but of converging to the places that are determined to establish that dialogue among the government and my person that it is not but an agent of the peace that we yearn to reach in our country in this sense. Without that peace it is difficult that it can have an institutional normalization. I have always been an agent of peace. I have not never caused situations of violence. Before provoking them I have preferred to give up, and that is in the spirit of all the Argentineans that you/they have lived near me. For that reason, from this cradle of the latinidad that he/she understands us and it unites us to all, I make an exhortation to the Argentinean town so that, mated all the Argentineans, let us be able to face this decisive moment of our history, with the biggest tranquility and with the most absolute fraternity. We are all Argentinean ones and I don't believe that there is anything that it can separate when we are in the task of serving to the country with all decision, with patriotism, with greatness and with detachment. For that reason, to all my Peronist partners I ask them them to maintain the biggest wisdom in order to not to cause unpleasant events to my arrival to Buenos Aires. With that I love them until tomorrow, if God wants. Juan Peron
